That’s racist, man.
Welcome, to this week’s Trailer Hootenanny!
Deadpool 2 (UK Release Date: 15 May 2018)
Shrugging off those rumours of poor test screenings, the Merc with a mouth returns with a foul-mouthed, balls-out trailer that suggests all is well (or as well as it ever was) in the land of Deadpool. There’s a bit more of the plot on show this time, but not much in the way of Owl-specific points of interest. Still, it’s reassuringly bonkers and brash – which is good to see after those rumours.
Tag (UK Release Date: 6 July 2018)
After months of speculation, we finally have the answer to where Hawkeye is during “Avengers: Infinity War“. With a to-die-for cast and a crazy, fun premise this looks like it could be pretty good, even if it does feature a guy best known for playing a sharp shooter called ‘Hawk’-eye. Why not Owlneck, giving that near 360-degree field of vision? Anyway, back on topic this could be a real crowd-pleaser in the summer, craftily counter-programmed against the SFX-heavy blockbusters.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (UK Release Date: 27 July 2018)
For a while there was a question-mark over this sequel as legendary animator and director Genndy Tartakovsky wasn’t keen to return. But he’s back on board as is the rest of the cast and despite what “Monster Family” suggests, there’s a lot of fun comedy to be had with monsters. Taking your cast on holiday may be a bit of a ‘British 70s Sitcom spin-off’ trope but I suspect Adam Sandler and Tartakovsky will deliver the goods once again.
That’s all for this time so until more new trailers hit, Owl be seeing you!
