Super Movie Secret Wars – Second Round Day 4

There was an idea, to bring together a group of remarkable movies, to see if they could become something more. See if they could come together and fight battles for our amusement. And from here on out, there’s no safety net, no second chances. Two movies enter, one movie moves on. There are some really tough draws thrown up by the system which sees the winner of one group facing off against the runner-up from another group.

Get your voting fingers ready for the final group of eight matches of the second round, because the polls are only open until 1800 BST on April 18th and this time you get one vote per match. In the event of a tie, the match will go to a sudden-death penalty shoot-out Twitter poll. If that’s still a tie, I’ll toss a coin.

Let’s have a good clean fight and may the best/ most influential/ most important/ most fun movie win!

The King of Wakanda takes on the Day Walker. Claw versus sword, heart-shaped herb versus vampire serum, this is one Mighty Marvel showdown.

Claws-out for a grudge match. They’re both the best at what they do, but what they do isn’t very nice so it’s going come down to the bone (or adamantium – the timeline’s a bit of a mess, really).

Cap may be a man out of time but Batman is forever. Can the star-spangled man take down Gotham’s neon Knight?

We know where Batman Begins and you’re better off not asking where Deadpool ‘finishes’, but how will Nolan’s Gruff Knight deal with the sassy mutant?

One way or another, the result of this match will put a smile on someone’s face. Will that smile be purple or black and toothy? It’s up to you to make a Snap decision.

One of the highlights of the round. Why so serious? Because this is a heavyweight contest between two titans of the genre and a potential early marker of who might be the ultimate champion.

Can Captain Marvel go higher, further, faster in the Super Movie Secret Wars or will we go down a darker, grittier, meaner path?

A battle between two vigilantes, one with billions of dollars behind them and the other with a homemade costume and a pipe wrench.
